Coordinating Council

The Riverside County SELPA Coordinating Council serves as an advisory committee to the Governance Council specific to discussions around program development and structure, policies and procedures, resource allocation, and other topics that may influence the education of students with disabilities. The Coordinating Council also serves as a network for the dissemination of federal and state legislative and policy updates, legal trends, and discussion specific to the local needs of member LEAs. Riverside County SELPA Coordinating Council is made up of each member LEA's Special Education Director (or designee) and operates in accordance with adopted bylaws and the Riverside County SELPA Local Plan. Riverside County SELPA Coordinating Council is committed to maintaining a student-centered approach to all decision making and ensuring access for every student in Riverside County.
